These dogs are not at the pound.

Mabel (8yrs old) is a pure bred blue tick c**n hound born 10-30-2018. She is papered thru UKC. She is not a trained hunting dog but will go after anything that comes in the yard. She requires a fenced in yard or she will run away. She gets occasional seizures that do not require medication. She is up to date on all her vaccinations and sees the vet in Mt carroll Il. She's not a fan of cats but does get along with other dogs. She has had 1 litter of 13 puppies and is not fixed. I do not wish for her to be bred anymore. She is too old for that. She spends most of her time sleeping and likes to go outside and bark at anyone who might be near her property. She responds well to a shock collar to manage barking when you use it consistently. She will try to get in the trash or steal food off your plate so we've used gates to avoid this. She gets fed 2 times a day. She is a vocal dog and someone that knows the breed wojkd be preferred.
Duke is a pure bred bloodhound (6yrs old) born December 4th 2020 and is papered thru AKC. He is also a dog that requires a fended in yard and gates to prevent getting into the garbage. He also has a prey drive and has been known to get rabbits that come in the yard. Hates cats but does get along with other dogs. He does have a deep howl that is loud but he isnt as vocal as his c**n hound girlfriend. He had 1 litter of puppies with the c**n hound which made Majestic tree hounds and he is now fixed. Both dogs are good with people and kids. Mabel barks when anyone comes to the house. Both dogs are affectionate and Duke will just sit and get all the ear and head pets you can give. Duke is also not a trained hunting dog. Would be nice if they could be rehomed together since they've been together for 6 years. They are located in Thomson Il. Must have income enough to provide on going vet care and while you could meet them at my house Id like to also see where they'd be going to live. Again a fenced in yard with enough space is a must. UPDATE: Owner for golden retriever has been located.

We just got 2 dogs in from the Savanna area. Both are under weight and pretty poor condition. Not found together, but may have come from the same place. Very smelly and scared. If you know where they belong or where they came from please call 815 499 5535.

UPDATE: COPPER THE BASSET HOUND IS GOING OUT TODAY FOR A TRIAL RUN. IF HE BECOMES AVAILABLE AGAIN I WILL POST IT HERE.

What is available at Carroll County pound you ask.....well here ya go. All adoptions have a 30 day trial period. If it doesn't work they come back here and we move on.
