🟢PAVING UPDATE:

River Road paving has been completed. Thank you all for the residents who contacted the Township to compliment the road crew. They appreciate your support.

We have moved on to pave Boulder Drive from Turkey Ridge to Audubon Drive. It should be about 3 days to complete, pending weather conditions.

After Boulder we will move on to Institute Drive and Laurel Hill Road (just by the Portland Borough Authority property). Which will be a day project for each road.

That will complete our scheduled road paving for 2026. We will do some scratch (patching) paving on various roads before we have to return the paver to the rental company.

🔴Office hours will be back to regular hours M - F 7am - 4pm starting Tuesday 9/8.

Office will be closed Monday for Labor Day

Large tree took out the wires on River Road this morning. MedED has been notified and requesting more crews. Latest update is 11:30am today restoration. If we have anymore updates we will advise everyone

THE ROAD BY THE COLUMCILLE ON QUAKER PLAIN ROAD WILL ONLY HAVE ONE LANE OPEN FOR ABOUT 5 HOURS THIS MORNING FOR A TREE REMOVAL. PLEASE USE AN ALTERNATE ROUTE DURING YOUR TRAVELS. THE CONTRACTOR SHOULD BE FINISHED EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. THANK YOU.

An Android phone was found on the Westbound side of Centerville Road in Upper Mount Bethel Township a couple weeks ago. Red case, and the screen saver is a snowy mtn with pine trees. If it is yours, please contact the Township Building. 570.897.6127.

If you have chance to visit our park on Potomac Street, we have a new addition. Such a beautiful statue dedicated to Dr. Larry Rymon a past resident who reintroduced the Osprey to our community.

A ceremony will be held on this Saturday August 22, 2026 starting from 11am -12 pm to dedicate this statue honoring Dr. Rymon. All are invited to join his family at the Park for this special occasion. Hope to see you all there.
