Today the family of Cheryl Anderson came to Mount Ayr to tour the area Cheryl was found after missing for 3 1/2 days and to meet some of the First Responders that helped in the search. We had a wonderful afternoon of fellowship with the family. Attending were members of Ringgold County Sheriff, Ringgold County Emergency Management, Ringgold County Ambulance, Decatur County Sheriff, Mount Ayr Fire, Kellerton Fire, Union Township Fire. Attending on behalf of Cheryl were her son Derrick Baas and girlfriend Lori Zielke, and son Lonnie Anderson. Cheryl's sons want to express a thank you to all of Ringgold County that assisted in the search for there mom. The family presented Mount Ayr Fire with a generous donation to go toward the purchase of a Drone for Ringgold County,. Missing were Diagonal Fire, they had ball tournaments today and were troopers and played in the rain! We hope they won!

Our Ringgold Community Water Emergency Team, a part of the Midwest Regional Dive Team, are on scene at Sun Valley Lake assisting in search and rescue efforts. Also along with them are the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Dept and Ringgold County Ambulance. Please keep the family of the missing individual, along with the dive team and first responders in your thoughts and prayers.

At this time we do not have access to the Midwest Regional Dive Team page, as it was removed from FB for reasons we do not fully understand yet.

When you support your Mount Ayr Ember’s and Mount Ayr Dive Team, these are the things you’re helping us provide support for. Equipment, fuel, tools, and other resources as the efforts and assistance we provide are free. Our dive team does not receive any public funds, so we rely solely on grants, donations and fundraising. We appreciate the support our community gives us.
