Please join us in welcoming Richie Swaim as Millennium Charter Academy’s Interim School Director!

Richie and his wife, Monica, are Surry County born and raised, and their roots in our community run deep. A graduate of Elkin High School and Liberty University, Richie brings experience both in the classroom and in school administration to his new role at MCA.

Richie’s story extends well beyond education. He has operated a ranch, and today he, his wife and five children enjoy life on their farm here in Surry County. When he isn’t at school, you’ll likely find him spending time with family, working around the farm, hunting, or fishing.

Richie brings to MCA a genuine love for this community, a strong work ethic, and a heart for students and families. We are excited to have him leading our school during this important time and look forward to our MCA families getting to know him.

Our 8th graders are putting their vocabulary skills and their quick thinking to the test with Hot Potato Vocab! Pass it fast, think even faster, and whatever you do… don’t get caught holding the potato or beach ball!
