Brittany and other New Hampshire Librarians, including fearless leader Mindy Atwood, acting as New Hampshire State Librarian, attended the Institute of Museum and Library Services this week and had the chance to tour the National Archives and the Library of Congress.

From Brittany: Seeing the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, a facsimile of the 19th Amendment, the Magna Carta, and one of four original copies of the Gutenberg Bible, written on animal skin, was a moving experience.

Library Director Brittany has been in Washington DC for three days to attend the Institute of Museum and Library Services' (IMLS) National Convening of Libraries Conference. IMLS, a Federal agency, brought together librarians from small and rural towns across the country and the US territories to learn more about our country's history and share how we as librarians are bringing the United States' history to our communities as we celebrate 250 years of independence.
