Medium to high chances (40–70%) of showers and thunderstorms will continue across the area today.

⛈️ Greatest threat window: Approximately 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, although showers and storms may occur outside of this timeframe.

Some storms may become strong to severe with:
• Damaging wind gusts
• Large hail
• Heavy rainfall that could lead to localized flooding
• Frequent lightning

Lawrence County EMA would like to congratulate the Hillsboro Area Volunteer Fire Department on the implementation of their new EMS Quick Response Vehicle, Medic 6.

The addition of Medic 6, along with the department’s continued growth in certified EMS personnel and community CPR training efforts, demonstrates a commitment to improving patient outcomes and enhancing public safety throughout our community.

Congratulations to Chief Jason Jones and the members of the Hillsboro Area Volunteer Fire Department on this accomplishment. We appreciate your dedication to serving the citizens of Lawrence County.
