The City of Motley was recently selected to participate in CEDA’s Rural Capacity Program, a grant-supported effort to help strengthen local businesses and community development.
As part of this, we’re exploring ways to support local businesses through potential commercial façade improvements 👏

We currently have an open City Council seat that will be filled by appointment for the remainder of the term, ending in January 2027.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has ever considered serving but isn’t sure about making a long-term commitment. The person appointed may choose to run in the November election—or simply serve out the rest of the term.

If you’re interested, please submit a letter of intent by the end of this week. The City Council will hold a special meeting on Monday, April 20, where an appointment may be made.

If you’ve been thinking about getting involved, this is a great chance to step in and see what the role is all about!
