A Day at the Rec with our Shining Stars! ⭐

Moss Point Parks & Recreation's Shining Stars Special Pops Program had a blast at "Day at the Rec." One group celebrated a birthday party with Train Rides Express and fishing, while the other group enjoyed bingo, story time, and arts and crafts with the Moss Point Public Library, then fitness time and arcade games in the new River City Lounge.

Smiles all around, and we cannot wait for the next one!

Shining Stars activities are held the 2nd and 4th Fridays of every month. For more information, call Parks and Recreation at (228) 475-7887.

Moss Point, get ready to welcome home our American Idol, Daniel Stallworth! 💜🎤

Join us Saturday, September 19 from 1 to 5 PM for an afternoon of live music, community, and celebration as Daniel returns home to perform right here in The City of Moss Point!

Bring your family and friends and come out to support one of Moss Point’s own. We are looking forward to seeing the River City show up for Daniel! 🙌

Mayor Billy Knight Sr. was on WLOX-TV this weekend, and the big news is the I-10 corridor. The approvals are done, the papers are signed, and the City is bidding it out to a contractor now. He is hoping for a ribbon cutting by November or December.

He also talked about the waterfront. A rebuilt pier, new bulkheads, the corroded lights off the water, and a small amphitheater right on the river. Design work is starting now, and construction should begin around the first of the year.

Mrs. Sykes has created a beautifully maintained property filled with healthy greenery, colorful flowers, and thoughtful landscaping that adds to the beauty of her neighborhood and our city.
