September is National Firefighter Appreciation Month!

From the firefighters serving across north central Wisconsin to the students training for careers in fire service at NTC, we’re grateful for the courage, commitment and countless hours of preparation that go into protecting others.

This evening we had the opportunity to deliver pizza to an amazing family. They entered the drawing at Kronenwetter’s National Night Out and this lucky little boy was the winner - we think we were the lucky ones to get to meet them all.

The smoke outside today isn’t safe and it came in faster than was expected so unfortunately we had to make the decision to postpone until Sunday July 19th 1:00-5:00 - please spread the word and come join us that day for hot dogs, lemonade and a whole

🚨 POP-UP SPLASH PAD RESCHEDULED 🚨

The safety of our residents is always our top priority.

Due to poor air quality conditions, today's Pop-Up Splash Pad has been rescheduled to help protect the health of our community, especially children, older adults, and those with respiratory conditions.

💦 NEW DATE: Sunday, July 19, 2026
🕐 Time: 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
📍 Location: Towering Pines Park

The Kronenwetter Fire & Rescue will still bring the fun with its ladder truck creating a giant splash zone, and firefighters will be serving FREE hot dogs and lemonade!

We appreciate everyone's understanding and look forward to seeing you on Sunday for an afternoon of cooling off, family fun, and community fellowship.

The KFD would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative and the local community members for a generous donation through the Operation Round Up program!

This donation is special because it comes directly from the cooperative members who choose to "round up" their monthly electric bills. Those small contributions add up to make a massive impact, and the funds are directed right back into local emergency services by selecting a fire department that protects and serves their specific area.

Thank you to the Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative for organizing Operation Round Up, and an even bigger thank you to every resident whose spare change is helping keep our community safe!
