W***y Luedtke has announced his candidacy for the Mosinee School Board of Education to fill an at-large seat.
As a third-generation graduate of the Mosinee School District, he knows that “Expect the Best” is not just a school slogan but a way of life. He understands how much the community rallies around the school and how much the school does within the community.
W***y and his wife, Kristy, were both born and raised in Mosinee. They have three young children, two currently in the school district. He believes that putting the student’s educational needs above all else will prepare them for the future, whether they pursue college, technical school, apprenticeships, the military, or the workforce. Along with the core classes, W***y believes that the home economics, shop/trades, and fine arts classes he took in school helped him develop into the well-rounded person he is today.
He is a maintenance technician for Crystal Finishing Systems in the Mosinee Business Park and has spent most of his professional career in manufacturing. To support the school district further, he drives for Lamers Bus Lines as a substitute driver. Aside from his jobs, he coaches youth soccer during the summer and volunteers heavily with the Mosinee Area Chamber of Commerce throughout the year.
W***y has participated in and taught several courses for adult leaders in the Boy Scouts of America. Some subjects include Listening to Learn, Conflict Management, and Project Planning. Communication is a key element of these courses. By applying these principles, he hopes to help bring a solid sense of effective communication between the school board, district staff, and the community. As a budget-conscientious individual, he would like to see the tax money from the citizens of Mosinee be allocated in the best possible way to help our children reach their full potential, while advocating for all Mosinee taxpayers.
W***y believes that our community has always been strong in supporting one another. He is eager to listen to the considerations and interests of the Mosinee School District from the people and parents. He knows one of the most significant ways to make your voice heard as a citizen of Mosinee is by voting and encourages everyone to vote in the primary election on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
