Big Skies, Bright Smiles, and Airshow Memories!

Moses Lake Airshow 2026 is officially in the books, and what an event! From jaw-dropping aerial stunts and dramatic skydiving to moving opening and closing ceremonies, there was something for everyone.

One of our favorite highlights was watching aviation fans of all ages help bring our 8’ x 4’ mural to life. Celebrating 80 years of historical aerospace milestones at Grant County International Airport, the mural became a place for pilots, veterans, history buffs, families, and visitors to share stories, add their own creative touches, and leave their mark. Together, they turned it into a one-of-a-kind keepsake from the show, and we can’t wait to display it in our airport terminal. We are so grateful to everyone who helped make both the mural and the airshow unforgettable. Thank you!

Check out some of our favorite photos below, including the youngest aviation enthusiast we’ve EVER met! (Thank you, Mom and Dad, for allowing us to share this sweet moment!) You’ll also find our video of the mighty P-38 departing from KMWH yesterday. Until next year!

A huge thank-you to the Moses Lake Airshow team, sponsors, performers, and the many, (many) volunteers who made this incredible event possible. Be sure to show them some love on their social media pages!

This past Thursday, we were pleased to partner with the Washington State Department of Commerce, AeroTEC (our gracious host) and Grant County EDC for FlightPath: Building the Future Together, a forum focused on aerospace innovation and expansion in Grant County and Central Washington.

With attendees from across the state, we heard from Brant Mayo of Grant County EDC; Sarah Clifthorne, Interim Director of the Washington State Department of Commerce; Andrea Chartock, Assistant Director of Economic Development for Washington State; The Boeing Company’s Cory Ertel, Senior Manager of Government Operations; Boeing in Moses Lake’s Sam Bosancu; and Andrew Hanna, Director of Government Relations at Stoke Space Technologies. Following the program, guests toured AeroTEC’s facility and received flightline access to the Moses Lake Airshow practice runs. It was a great day for building connections, sharing ideas, and working together to keep our region and Washington state a leader in aerospace.

Our sincere thanks to the panel participants for their thoughtful discussions and insights:

Moses Lake Marks a Milestone in Sustainable Fuel Innovation

Last Wednesday, we had the opportunity to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Twelve, The Carbon Transformation Company's AirPlant™ One in our Wheeler Industrial corridor. And all we can say is, wow!

The opening marked a significant achievement for Twelve, our community, and the future of energy innovation. As Twelve’s first commercial-scale facility, AirPlant One is the result of more than a decade of innovation, partnership, and perseverance, and is now producing E Jet® sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and E Naphtha™, a building block for thousands of everyday products.

This milestone represents far more than the opening of a single facility. It shows what is possible when scientists, engineers, operators, customers, investors, policymakers, industry leaders, and local partners come together to build something entirely new!
It was also a powerful reminder of the role Moses Lake is playing in shaping the future of industry and energy. Moments like this make us proud of the innovation happening here in Moses Lake, and even more excited about what comes next! Congratulations, Twelve!

Battery Leaders Convene in Moses Lake for the One Washington Battery Summit

Last Tuesday, battery energy leaders gathered at Big Bend Community College (BBCC) and the Port of Moses Lake for the One Washington Battery Summit. Sponsored by Washington State Department of Commerce and Vin Valentino, with support from PNW Battery Collaborative and co-host BBCC's Dr. Sara Thompson Tweedy, the event brought eastern and western Washington together to advance energy storage, resilience, and sustainable economic development. It was a great day of learning, sharing, and collaboration.

We all enjoyed hearing from Mr. Valentino (Washington State Department of Commerce), Mateo Gomez (Invenergy), Daniel Schwartz (UW Clean Energy Institute), Rick Costantino (Group14), and David Fujimoto (Port of Seattle). Tours were also on the agenda as attendees were able to see the BBCC Workforce Development (WEC) center, the Port of Moses Lake, and Sila Nano.

Thank you, PNW Battery, BBCC, and to everyone who traveled for this important East-meets-West event!

On Friday, June 5th, the Port of Moses Lake had the pleasure of hosting the Washington Public Ports Association (WPPA) as part of their Port Academy Series, which is dedicated to visiting and learning about initiatives at port districts throughout the state. We were delighted to not only give an overview of the Port of Moses Lake and Grant County International Airport (KMWH), but also talk about our capital, water, power, and workforce development projects.

Following an excellent lunch (thank you, Jet A Way Café, Moses Lake, WA), our guests from all over the state enjoyed a facility tour where they had the opportunity to see Boeing, AeroTEC, Greenpoint Technologies, Stoke, Moses Lake Industries, and Genie from the tarmac side.

Thank you, Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority, Port of Ephrata, Port of Kalama, Port of Longview, Port of Othello, Port of Pasco, Port of Royal Slope, Port of Royal Slope, Port of Seattle, Port of Sunnyside, Port of Tacoma, Port of Whitman County, and WPPA, for taking the time to visit, engage, and collaborate with us! Your support and involvement are greatly appreciated, and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
