Meza & LaPrath for ASUI Senate

Meza & LaPrath for ASUI Senate Vote for Maria Meza and Lindsey LaPrath for ASUI Senate. We are two active students at the University of Idaho who are running for ASUI Senate.

We are excited to run for these positions to best represent our fellow students. Be sure to vote for Maria Meza and Lindsey LaPrath on Monday, November 14th through Wednesday, November 16th. Our Platform:

-Tradition
We want to bring back the essence that is the University of Idaho. This means increasing school pride and spirit through activities that were once implemented like Vandal Fridays and

tailgating. We want to revive the Vandal Nation that the older generations once knew.

-Community
One of our main focuses will be to unite the campus. We want to promote a feeling of comradery and neighborhood between students at the university. We will do this by hosting events that bring together all students and increasing student involvement.

-Student Spaces
As a part of building a strong campus community we also want to fight for student spaces that will enable all students to connect. We want to create a fun and safe environment for students to meet and connect.

"Lindsey and Maria are running on a platform of values that will truly help all students at this university. As a 2nd generation Vandal myself, I know that tradition is a huge part of our vandal culture and it needs to be strengthened within our current Vandal community. Their ideas for also focusing on community and student spaces will bring tremendous value to our campus currently and in the future. I have had the pleasure of working with both of them over this past year. Both are strong, driven, and motivated individuals that will accomplish many more great things if re-elected to the senate. I hope that all of you will follow me in supporting their goals and voting for them next week! Don't forget to vote November 14-16! Your opinion matters!"

We are thankful and thrilled to have received the support and endorsement of our colleague, ASUI Cabinet member, Director of Health & Wellness, and friend Gabrielle Vietri. We look up to you in more ways than one and look forward for the opportunity to continue contributing together!

"As a student at the University of Idaho, as well as an ASUI cabinet member and Director of Health and Wellness for the University, I would like to voice my support for my friends Maria Meza and Lindsey Laprath who are running for ASUI Senate this year. I truly believe that they are focusing on issues that well represent the wants and needs of Idaho's students. They are focused on bringing back the tradition and Vandal spirit at the U of I and unifying the campus through activities that improve the student experience in Moscow in all aspects. I encourage everyone to visit and like their page in order to learn more about issues on YOUR campus. Also don't forget to vote in the ASUI Senate elections November 14th-16th."

Even though my Vandal background isn't quite like Lindsey's, I'm very proud to have a unique Vandal love, as well. Coming to UI was easy for me. That decision was pure and genuine, and that's how I intend to continue my journey here. Being a student from a different background and born in a different country has helped me identify with several groups of people, with the main goal of spreading and sharing the love I have for this institution. I plan, along with Lindsey, to keep integrating as many students as possible, from different clubs, backgrounds, and nationalities to help them see what it means to be a Vandal. The goal is to have them walk out of UI with a sense of family and home that everyone deserves. Being a Vandal isn't restrictive, it is a pride and an honor we hope is instilled in everyone, whether you're from Moscow or the other side of the world.
