We Want More History! is coming to Moscow!

We Want More History! is a national initiative to get the public engaged with history at museums, historic sites, libraries and more, organized by American history organizations. The official weekend is happening Sept. 25-27th across the country, but Moscow will have an extended timeline of events. The Latah County Historical Society is participating, along with the Palouse Land Trust, Latah County Library District, Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre, Book People, 1912 Center, Idaho Public Archaeology field school, and University of Idaho Borah Symposium. Local events will take place from September 19th through September 30th, all centering history and its examination. Please see the flyer for the individual programs, locations, and times. All events are free, except the Ragtime Orchestra performance.

Our Ambassadors were able to spend some time at the Latah Recovery Community today!

Welcoming hundreds of visitors per month across over 20 programs in addition to operating a unique rural model crisis center, the LRC is a Main Street staple that helps community members recover in the light.

Make sure to check out the Recovery Festival next weekend for great food, live music, and stories from community members!

We are SO excited to announce Jamie Lyn Sugai as the winner of the 2026–2027 Moscow ArtWalk Poster Contest!

Jamie’s winning design will serve as the official artwork for this year’s ArtWalk season, and both Jamie and her artwork will be featured at the MCOC+VC during the first ArtWalk on Thursday, October 1, from 4:00–8:00 PM!

We had a blast at Pride in the Park this weekend! Thank you so much to Inland Oasis for organizing this incredible event - we got to chat with folks from all over the region who were spending time in Moscow to celebrate for the weekend. The support from the community (and the wind) blew us away!

We’re so grateful for the collaborations that make Moscow Magic. Shout out to Rogers Subaru - their support helps us spread the good word about Idaho’s Fest City at events like these, and more!

LCHS staff had a great time helping Moscow Kiwanis with Stuff the Bus, part of the Community Volunteer Days effort for America 250, coordinated by the Nonprofit Alliance with the Moscow Chamber of Commerce + Visitor Center.
