“[Vaccine] mandates should be implemented with clear guidelines” -Trish Carter-Goodheart

My Democrat opponent believes vaccine mandates should be foisted upon parents regardless of what they think!

Don’t get me wrong, I believe in old school vaccines, and my kids get theirs. But that’s my choice because those are my kids. God gave them to me not the government.

Nobody should get to make that decision for me or for you. And no one should be threatened with education, employment, or jail time for seeing it different.

Covid-19 showed us how far government is willing to push its power if we let them.

Trish thinks big brother knows best. I think parents know best.

Democrats are going to be spending big in this district to try to warn you that I’m ‘extreme’. I think real extremism is when the government takes away your parental rights!

I can’t believe we have to say this in 2026 but… defunding the police is a bad idea!

As a dad of two little girls I can tell you that keeping our communities safe is at the top of the list for young families like mine.

The fact that my opponent has called for defunding our law enforcement is frightening!

In a recent survey Trish Carter-Goodheart supported “redirecting funds” away from our police and into social programs. That’s a bad idea.

When it comes to keeping our communities safe and supporting our law enforcement I won’t compromise.

It says a lot about someone’s character how they respond when they lose an election.

Do they call and congratulate their opponent? Do they thank the voters for the opportunity?

Or do they take their toys and go home? Do they complain that voters made the “wrong” choice?

Two years ago I lost. It stung a lot. Wanna know what I did? I picked up the phone and congratulated my opponent and then spent the rest of the year knocking doors for our GOP Candidates (including her).

Do you know why? Because I understood that elected office is not an entitlement. It is a position of trust bestowed on you by the voters.

Whining about the outcome communicates that you think the voters are too stupid to decide for themselves. I don’t think that. I wish more folks participated of course. But I absolutely respect the outcomes.

Everyone’s voice ought to be heard!

In 2024 turnout was 6,450 in our primary (I got 40% of the vote). But that wasn’t good enough.

We spent the next two years telling everyone that their voice mattered!

2026? Turnout was 7,894! An increase of 1,444 more voters (up 22%).

From a presidential year to a midterm primary that sort of increase is unheard of. Well done Idaho, our state is stronger when more folks participate!

Idaho District 6 has a competitive election and Democrats have a plan.

Democrats are preparing to spend enormous sums against us claiming everything, from saying we are ‘racist’ because we want strong borders to claiming I don’t let my wife vote (yes they are actually saying this absurdity!). And they’ve already hired 6 paid staffers to spread this message of fear and falsehood across Latah county.

Democrats aren’t trying to get conservative independents, moderate Republicans, and libertarians to vote Democrat. They are trying to discourage them from voting at all!

The truth is Idaho is a great state with low regulations, a strong hydroelectric energy sector, solid gun rights, and a fast growing economy. Democrat policies will harm these great things. We can’t let them do that.

I need to raise $50,000 in the next five months to keep this seat red. Will we be out spent? Most definitely, but this amount will allow us to communicate our message to voters in a manner that will translate to victory.

FULL STATEMENT ON OUR VICTORY YESTERDAY:

God, in His sovereign will holds the hearts of statesman and citizens like water in the palms of His hand. By God’s Grace I received the Republican Nomination for State Representative last night.

I want to thank my opponent, Former State Representative Agidius for both her past service and her willingness to serve again. I am grateful to her for putting her name forward and giving voters a choice. Those of us that choose to be bitter about competition have forgotten what the American republic is all about. We ought to be grateful for the privilege of having a choice and Rep. Agidius gave us that.

To those who voted for me, thank you, I will not let you down.

To those who didn’t, I will work everyday for the next 5 months to earn your trust.

And to those who plan to vote for my Democrat rival (Trish Goodheart-Carter), I will strive everyday to represent you in the Legislature regardless of who you voted for.

Where do we stand going into November? Well, the bank is empty. We spent every penny of the $40,000 dollars we raised mostly from people (not PACS) who live in this state. We spent it well, and the results show that. But now we need to raise that money again for November. If you have the means, please consider supporting us again.

Finally, a word about the countless mailers and TV ads you were bombarded with. Establishment politicians need to stop trying to buy our elections. Big money in politics doesn’t make us better, it doesn’t give us better leaders, and the rise of AI has turned our mailboxes into a dumping ground for lies and slop. Please, stop insulting the voters of this district with this sort of thing. Let our statesmen stand on their own two feet, not endless PAC dollars.

Voters last night showed that they want a new direction. I promised that and I intend to deliver it. But voters also have a responsibility. If I fail to keep my oath or go back on my word, you must vote me out in the next election.
