The "State of the City" presentation is coming up. February 23 at 11:30 at the Best Western/University Inn as part of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce monthly meeting. Come and hear what is happening in and around town. (RSVP-ing to the Chamber ahead of time would be nice :-) ).

The journey continues! On January 3, I was sworn in as Moscow's mayor. The work of supporting and advancing our community's interests now begins in earnest! Thanks to everyone for your supportive comments. Feel free to be in touch with comments or concerns you may have.

From last night’s Moscow Volunteer Fire Department banquet. I was presented with this fireman’s helmet (the real thing! It’s really quite heavy). The Chief and Department CEO took pains to emphasize that since I’m new at the job (mayor), that this is a trainee’s helmet (yellow)! I felt quite honored, despite the trainee part.

Big thank yous again to all who voted for me! I am very grateful for your support.

Also, thank you to those who volunteered to host a yard sign. We are now in the phase where the yard signs need to go away. I, and associates from other campaigns, have been wandering town, collecting yard signs. The signs have to be gone by the 9th.

So, if we have missed picking up the sign in front of your house, would you please either pick it up and recycle or trash it, or drop me a line and I'll come and get it.

I think we have them all, but without doubt there are a few that we have missed.

Thank you to all who supported me in my campaign for mayor. Your support, through contributions, hosting a yard sign and *especially* through your vote, was critical to the outcome of the election. I am so grateful to all of you

I am relieved the election is past us, but am now looking forward with a bit of anxiety to taking office in January and working with all of our citizens, the City Council and Moscow's very capable staff to continue our city's progress!
