This morning, school police and administration, Moscow Borough Police, and the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) completed perimeter sweeps at MEC with no concerns identified. PSP conducted periodic patrols throughout the morning, was present during recess, and assessed wooded areas near the playground using drone and helicopter surveillance.

We are grateful for the expertise, professionalism, and responsiveness of our school police officers and law enforcement partners, whose experience and knowledge provide an added layer of safety and reassurance for our students and staff.

Families are reminded to report any information that may raise a school safety concern directly to school administration or law enforcement as soon as possible.

Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and secure school environment.

The district received information from the Moscow Police Department late last night regarding a report from a parent requesting a perimeter sweep of the MEC campus based on information shared with the parent at home that had not been reported to the school.

There is no imminent danger to students or staff. However, out of an abundance of caution, there will be an increased police presence at MEC today as the Moscow Police Department and district take this report seriously and work to ensure the continued safety of our school community.

We appreciate the cooperation and support of our families and law enforcement partners.

High School - Financial Aid Night

Financial Aid Night will be held on Monday, October 5th, at 5:30 PM in the high school auditorium. A PHEAA representative will present an overview of the financial aid process, the cost of higher education, and the financial help that is available. All seniors and their parents are encouraged to attend.

There will be a hands-on FAFSA Completion Workshop immediately following the presentation. If you plan to attend the workshop, please have your student bring a Chromebook, charger, and any financial documents needed to complete the application. Students and parents also need to create an individual Federal Student Aid Account (formerly known as an FSA ID) prior to this workshop.

The class of 2028 and high school Mini-THON club are hosting their annual Tackle Cancer Pink/Gold game fundraiser!
