Morton-Rutledge Fire Company was the result of a consolidation of the Morton Fire Company and the Rutledge Fire Company. Both former companies had over 100 years of service to the communities. Morton-Rutledge Fire Company was formed and has been serving the public since 2010.

5 years ago today we received a call we never expected. We lost the heart of company 13. Dan had passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. There is not a minute that goes by that you are not with us on every call, on our minds and in the firehouse. Thank you for keeping watch over us. We miss you.
