Cowmmunity Awareness in Action 🧡

Yesterday, our team and dedicated volunteers spent time at Flat Shoals Park raising awareness about gun violence and the impact it has on families, neighborhoods, and our county.

We had meaningful conversations, distributed awareness materials, and encouraged residents to join the effort to prevent violence through education, engagement, and community partnership. Every conversation matters, and every person who chooses to get involved helps make our community safer.

Gun violence prevention is part of our 360-degree approach: Prevention, Enforcement, and Rehabilitation. By working together, we can create safer neighborhoods.

Thank you to everyone who shared their stories, wore orange, and helped spread awareness. The fight against gun violence is a community effort, and we are committed to being part of the solution.

Why am I doing this?

I do this for the more than 300,000 residents of Clayton County who deserve hope, opportunity, and a future they can believe in.

I do this for our youth, because every child deserves a chance. A chance to be supported and equipped to reach their full potential. Their future should never be limited by their circumstances or the failures of leadership.

I do this for those who have felt forgotten, overlooked, and left without a voice. The hardworking people who simply want representation that listens, serves, and protects.

I do this because public service is not about power, it’s about people. It’s about restoring trust and ensuring that every resident knows they matter.

This process (because I hate calling it a campaign) is bigger than me. It’s about giving hope to those who have become hopeless, opportunities to those who’ve given up, and a voice to those who have gone unheard.
