Salem / Morrow Fire Department

Clinton - Warren Station 60 crews along with crews from Wilmington FD, Chester Twp FD, Blanchester FD, Salem Morrow FD, Massie Twp FD are currently operating on a working structure fire within the district. Crews were dispatched at 1247am. Due to the fire being in an area where no fire hydrants were available. Multiple mutual aid tankers assisted with water supply on scene.

We extend our thanks to Clinton County communications, Clinton County Sheriffs Office, AES power company and the multiple mutual aid agencies who assisted on scene.

Update: Duke has replaced the pole and power will be restored momentarily. The road is now reopened.

Units are on scene of a vehicle accident on Morrow-Woodville Rd between Front St and Clements View. The road will be shut down while Duke replaces the pole. Please use an alternative route and drive safely.

If you have driven past our station recently, you may have observed the cones situated around the parking lot. Our members are presently participating in our annual apparatus driving assessment, which is composed of a classroom portion and a practical driving segment. During the hands-on portion, members acquire and sharpen their skills maneuvering and navigating apparatus in a controlled environment.

Unit 2 participated in Career Day/Touch a Truck at Little Miami Early Childhood Center, where crew members educated students about firefighting and emergency medical technician duties. The team provided apparatus tours, explaining various tools and their applications. Thank you to the Early Childhood Center and Little Miami School District for hosting the event.

We join our brothers in great sorrow at the loss of our own Charlie Pell. Charlie served so many throughout his career in the fire service. We have been blessed to have him as part of the Salem/Morrow Fire Dept family for nearly a decade. Charlie was a dedicated husband, father, son, firefighter and above all, friend. All who knew Charlie were blessed to call him friend. Please keep his family in your prayers. We love you Charlie. God bless brother. Rest in His peace.

It is with an extremely heavy heart that we must announce the passing of Firefighter Charlie Pell. FF Pell was a dedicated and vital member of Union Township Fire Rescue. Charlie had a intense battle with cancer and fought till his last breath. His impact on not only our department but many area departments will be a major loss to many communities. Charlie was an outstanding firefighter, a fantastic handyman, an even better friend, and just an all-around great guy. Rest in peace, 335, we'll take it from here! We love you, Charlie!!!
