POV: Your catch basin is NOT a trash can. 😅

Our Stormwater crew found a few things hanging out in a catch basin…

Catch basins help move rainwater through the stormwater system. But sticks, leaves, rocks, trash and other debris can build up, block water flow and contribute to flooding and drainage problems.

Remember: Trash belongs in the trash can, not the storm drain.

Help us keep stormwater flowing! 💙

September is National Preparedness Month, making it a great time to make sure your household is prepared for unexpected water emergencies.

Water emergencies can happen for many reasons, from a water main break or unexpected outage to severe weather or a plumbing emergency at home.

Would you know what to do? Here are a few simple ways to prepare.

- Keep drinking water on hand
- Have an emergency kit ready
- Know where your home's water shut-off valve is located
- Save CCWA's Customer Service number: 770-960-5200
- Stay connected with CCWA for service updates and advisories

A little preparation today can help you feel more confident if an unexpected water emergency occurs.

Prepare now. Stay informed. Stay ready.

We all want a healthy, green lawn, but during dry conditions, a little water conservation goes a long way.

If you’re watering your yard, remember to:
- Water only when your landscape needs it
- Water between 4 p.m. and 10 a.m.
- Make sure your sprinkler is watering your lawn, not your sidewalk, driveway or street
- Check for leaks and fix them when you find them
- Turn off the tap when you don’t need it

Small changes around the house can help us protect our local water supplies.

Let’s make every drop count. 💙

It’s World Water Week!

This year’s theme, “Water for Society – Including All,” highlights something we all have in common: water is essential to every person, every community and every part of our daily lives.

At CCWA, we’re proud to play a role in managing and protecting the water resources our community depends on today and for generations to come.

Water connects us all, and we all have a role to play in protecting it.
