Today was a special day as we held a ceremony for one of the Coast Guards newest Surfmen, BM2 Adam Fagundes #615. The Surfman certification is the culmination of mental grit, elite boat driving skills, the support of the crew and surrounding units, and the proper weather to create sufficient training conditions. Congratulations BM2, well deserved!
Additionally, after the ceremony, we conducted surf training with 12-15’ Breaks on south beach with Sector command on board 🫡🌊.
Last and certainly not least, BM3 Hogg recieved a Coast Guard Commendation medal for aiding in the rescue of a surfer in distress while off duty.
Thank you friends, family, and Sector command who traveled to celebrate with us on this monumental day.
