Come join the STEAM Squad on Thursday September 17 at 4:30pm to investigate mysteries using science, technology, engineering, art and math. Open to all kids ages 7-14. Register here or at the library starting August 17, 2026.

Stacks & Scholars Homeschool Crew: NewsChannel 9 Meteorologist Carson Metcalf

Calling all homeschool weather-watchers!

On Wednesday, September 23 at 2:00 PM, NewsChannel 9 Storm Team meteorologist Carson Metcalf is stopping by the library to talk about wild CNY weather, storm tracking, and what it’s really like to forecast on live TV. A great hands?on learning opportunity for homeschool students who love science, storms, or just asking “why does the weather do that?”

📣 SOS: The Great Paper Towel Crisis of 2026 📣

We have checked the shelves. We have checked the closets. We have checked the mysterious cabinet that nobody remembers the purpose of.

The verdict? We need paper towels!

Our rolls are disappearing faster than free bookmarks and new releases. If you're able, please consider donating a few rolls (or a lot of rolls!) to help us keep the library neat and tidy.

Every roll helps, and your donation will definitely have a happier ending than our current paper towel situation. 🧻❤️

Video Game Night!

Bring your own devices, games etc. and join other like-minded video game people on Monday September 14 from 5:30pm-7:00pm!

Our public computers will not be used for this program; this takes place in our program room. You must bring your own handheld devices- phones, Kindles, laptops, Nintendo Switches etc. No one is to use other’s equipment without permission. Come chat with others, share some tricks and tips and have fun! Can bring snacks and a beverage if you choose. Open to anyone who has their own gaming handhelds.
