Bucks250PA officially launched the Revolutionary War Trail of Bucks County recently at Washington Crossing Historic Park Visitor Center in Upper Makefield Township.

The print map highlights the county’s historic role in the American Revolution, with additional digital versions of Heritage, Abolitionist and Lenape Trails.

Members of our Fairless team attended the event on behalf of WM. We are proud to support the commemoration of this area’s role in American history!

Two North American river otters were recently spotted in Manor Lake, part of the Penn Warner Club within the 6,000-acre WM Fairless complex. The sighting is more than exciting news for nature lovers; it is also an important indicator of ecological health.
River otters, once nearly eliminated from Pennsylvania due to habitat loss, pollution, and over-trapping, have made a remarkable comeback thanks to conservation efforts and cleaner waterways. Their presence signals strong water quality and a thriving ecosystem.

‌WM contributes to this thriving ecosystem through a variety of habitat projects across the Fairless complex, including our award-winning pollinator garden, kestrel boxes, purple martin houses, additional bird boxes, and wetlands that protect the endangered red-bellied turtle.

Fairless Landfill Operations Manager Marc Argenti helps his daughter, Skylar, and Ella Castelli, niece of Senior Financial Analyst Valerie Castelli, identify pollinators June 26th at the landfill's pollinator garden.
The event marked the site's 12th annual picnic and pollinator celebration at the award-winning garden and meadow. This year’s theme was “Yes, Bats Are Pollinators.”
Area teammates and their families hosted 40 guests, including students and parents from The Pen Ryn School, members of the Falls Township Senior Center, and Fairless community partners.

Also pictured: Sales Coordinator Dan Taylor and Pennsbury Manor Site Director Doug Miller attempt to identify pollinators in a mound of Coreopsis lanceolata during the picnic.
Pollinator identification and monitoring are an important part of the garden's Wildlife Habitat Council certification.
Dan and Doug are regular supporters of events at the garden.

The volunteers at Martha's Cupboard, located at Saint Frances Cabrini in Fairless Hills, demonstrate the spirit of community service through their commitment to helping others.

Recently, Tom Ashelman and Dawn Miller from our WM Fairless team joined these devoted individuals to sort and distribute food packages to parishioners in need.

Martha's Cupboard is open on Mondays and Saturdays. Donations to the pantry are always welcome and greatly appreciated!

Reps from our Fairless Operations and Sales teams spent time sharing how to Recycle Right! during the William Penn's World events at Pennsbury Manor.
Students could spin the "wheel of recycling" and answer questions to learn more about what can/cannot be recycled.

The student field trips to Pennsbury Manor happen each Tuesday in May. Students explore 20 interactive activity stations, our WM one included.
We were happy to participate again this year!
