Aside from selling some at our Visitor Center, we also donate to local food pantries! The Chester - Mendham food pantry and Fosterfields have had a partnership for three years and are looking forward to creating more connections!

🐝 Bee Update! 🐝

This year we welcomed two colonies of Italian Honey Bees (Apis mellifera ligustica), named Jurassic and Jaws.

We received both colonies as nucs (small starter colonies) in April. Since arriving, our bees have been incredibly busy!

Each colony started with just five frames of wax comb. Today, they have each drawn out more than 15 frames of new comb.

Both colonies are thriving and continue to grow. Each hive is estimated to contain 20,000–60,000 bees, with populations expected to increase throughout the summer.
