Last Friday, The Elmore School had Weather at your School with Marissa Vigevani and the camera operator, James, from NBC News Channel 5! What an exciting morning we had! Three students and their parents braved the early morning, arriving at 4:30 am for the first broadcast at 4:45. Students continued to come in shifts throughout the next 3 hours and took turns broadcasting live every 15 - 30 minutes. Marissa and James were incredible with the children, taking time to show them the Mobile Weather Lab, camera equipment, and answer questions. I think we may have some future weather forecasters and camera operators in the group!

Tom Glaser came to PAHS and spoke to the World History II classes on Tuesday, May 26 to share his family's story before, during and after the Holocaust, and, how growing up with the Holocaust always in the background affected his life. Tom is the first Glaser to be born in the U.S. His parents survived N**i ghettos and multiple concentration camps. He works with the Vermont Holocaust Memorial and believes it is essential to tell his family's amazing story of survival so it never happens again.

Last week a group of Stowe High School students present their ideas for school reform. This group was well-prepared, informed, and had many great ideas for consideration. It was a great reminder that student voice needs to be central to these conversations.
