Update on the Ice Jam:

As of approximately 9pm the majority of the ice jam has cleared its self, river is back to flowing mostly as normal. Water levels at Jan Street and LaPierre Lane have receded back to normal levels. There is still ice present about 30-50 feet from shore on the River Street Side but the main channel is wide open.

Thank you again to our amazing mutual aid partners, the ADK Tech Rescue Team, CCOES, Clinton County Sheriffs Office, NYSP Troop B, American Red Cross and the Morrisonville Fire Auxiliary.

Today was a long day for all involved. We appreciate the efforts of our great men and women of the MFD and the above mentioned agencies.

Update on the Ice Jam in Morrisonville:

Crews are currently monitoring the ice situation in the village of Morrisonville. Currently we are still recommending evacuation of LaDue St and 2 houses on river street. Please avoid these areas while crews are on site. We will provide an update when appropriate to the home owners.

Currently no houses are directly affected by water.

Red Cross is assisting as needed.

Special thank you to the departments that responded this morning. We appreciate your help!
