This is Waffles!
Waffles was detained and apprehended last year by Animal Control for running at large, avoiding capture, and peacefully resisting an Animal Control Officer. She was eventually caught and served a 7 day stray hold before becoming available for adoption.
We wanted to take a moment to share where she came from and where she is now. Waffles is now performing tricks, agility, and entertaining people all across the country! She came in scared and timid with little direction and is now thriving! She has learned so many new skills, built confidence, and most importantly how to communicate with her owner and handler.
This is one of the many adoption success stories that shows what can come of giving a shelter dog a shot! It can be trying to bring home a new dog that doesn't know the routine, needs help learning manners, and needs to learn to communication skills but the time and effort is so worth it. Few things are better than a good dog. Perfection doesn't happen overnight but with consistency, patience, and problem solving.
