Wanted to let our Morris Senior Center family know that Stephanie's last day is this Friday, September 4. 😭

She has taken a full time position at James Morris School so she won't be far and promises to visit as often as she can!

Please join me in wishing her all of the best in her new venture and thanking her for three and a half years of service to the town of Morris. We are so grateful for our time with her!

Our annual Pizza Party at the MTB was yet another fabulous event thanks to the amazing Commission and volunteers that we have as part of our Senior Center Family! 💛

Pizza and salad filled our bellies while all of the great tunes from the 50s and 60s filled our ears! 🍕🎶🎵

Morris Community Activities has an Assistant position available! ✨

Assistant to the Director of Community Activities: Assists with the day-to-day operation of an active Senior Center and Beach and Recreation Department. Performs a full range of clerical functions and secretarial support. Along with organizing and implementing special events, community events, excursions and community outreach through the Senior Center and Beach and Recreation Department, under the supervision of Director of Community Activities. Monday - Friday, occasional weekends (days and hours may vary). Closing Date: 9/4/26, 3:00 PM

Due to the Heat Advisory and the prediction of thunderstorms this evening, we have made the challenging decision to cancel tonight's concert with our friends from Wooden Horse - 2026 Summer Concert Series at the MTB. UGHHH!! 😩😩😩

As soon as we have a rescheduled date, we will let you know! 📆

Our next scheduled concert is Jukebox 45 Show Band - 2026 Summer Concert Series at the MTB on Friday, August 14 / 6 pm. Maybe if we start crossing our fingers now, we'll have good weather then! 🤞🤞🤞

We hosted our annual Senior Picnic at the Morris Town Beach today with a theme of “250th Anniversary of our Country”! 🇺🇸

Even though we were a little hot and sticky, we had a great time! Our friends from Frankie’s of Waterbury fed us well and our other friends, “The Elderly Brothers” kept us laughing and on our feet dancing! 😆💃🏻🕺
