It’s been a while but we finally started to make progress again!! I have to give a huge shoutout to my thanksgiving help Gerald Nelson, Keith Hughes, and Derek Howell!! And the last two days the man who keeps me caffeinated with H***h Coffee Mr. Ryan Browning.

We got soffits, fascia, trim, exterior lights and replaced two broken windows.

Next scrape paint, caulk and re paint.

MOVIE NIGHT TONIGHT!! The weather looks great!! Come join us for a movie. We will have free cookies, cocoa and coffee until it runs out. Hopefully the set up works and we can all see and hear the show. If not, oh well it’s free, we can enjoy each other’s company and sing Christmas carols! 😆 see you guys this evening. Movie will start between 6:30 and 7:00.

The ground is still a little soggy so we are going to give it a couple of days to dry out. The weather on Monday evening looks pretty good, warmer and not to windy. We will try for Monday evening @ 6:30 for a movie, cookies, coffee and cocoa. Sorry for all the changes. Tuff time of year for outdoor activities.

Feel free to stop by and take pics. Please be careful on the slippery surfaces!!

Sorry guys, the weather for Saturday does not look favorable for an outside movie. Cold with winds between 15-20. We would be miserable and the movie screen might take flight. We will try again next Saturday the 19th. Thanks to the volunteer helpers for being flexible and to all of you guys for showing your interest and excitement for the event.

First of all, I should have taken pictures when the hard workers Doy and Cody Shipman were there. Second of all, bear with us the inside and outside have a long way to go as far as construction and paint so excuse the mess. Last but definitely not least I would like to thank the awesome members of the community for the help with donations and labor. Not a day goes by that someone doesn’t stop by or call or message me offering to help with the project. Huge thanks to the Shipman men, they not only donated the 6x6 posts but also dug the holes and poured the concrete to set them. Digging four 18 inch holes doesn’t sound like hard work but when the house that previously stood in that spot was buried there it’s makes digging very difficult when you hit brick after brick in every hole. We have to also give big thanks to the Welch family for donating the Christmas tree that now stands in the middle of the building. Thanks to John Bowers for letting us use his garden hose for some water for the concrete. We hope everyone enjoys the movie next weekend. Kellie Nelson and I hung a few lights and decorated the tree today, we hope to grow the Christmas decor a little every year but for now it’s a start.

Installed the porch pillars today with Ryan Browning. Next up is the porch railing and soffit boards. We will be hosting an out door Christmas move on the evening of the 12th at 6:30. We will be serving free coffee, hot chocolate and cookies. Bring a chair spread out and enjoy a movie and a hot drink. We will also be taking donation for the materials to finish up the project. Can’t wait to see you all there!!

It’s been a while since we have had time to work on the HOME building but we got a chance to do some work on the inside today. Big thanks to my friend Ryan for all the help!! He has personal ties to the little building and is part of the reason this project is even taking place. We have a lot of work to do, we still plan on holding an event there during Christmas so we need to get busy. We still need to get railing for the deck and materials for the steps as well as paint so feel free to donate to the HOME project account at the Mabrey Bank. Thanks again for all of your support!!
