Thank you to everyone who came out to Stratton Park last night for the Flotsam River Circus! It was great to see so many members of our community gathered along the river to enjoy such a unique and entertaining performance.

A special thank you to the talented cast and crew of Flotsam for making Morris a stop on their floating tour and sharing their creativity, music, acrobatics, and one-of-a-kind show with our community.

We love bringing experiences like this to Morris and seeing our parks and riverfront filled with families, friends, and neighbors enjoying an evening together.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the event possible, and to everyone who joined us!

Subject: Notice – Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Brentwood Dr

Location: The following addresses on Brentwood Drive:
​500, 501, 502, 503, 505, 600, 601, 603, 604, 605, and 702

The City of Morris would like to inform you that the boil order water advisory previously issued for Brentwood Drive has been lifted. Water service has been restored, and all required testing has confirmed that the water supply now meets all IEPA and federal drinking water standards.

Laboratory results from samples collected within the affected area indicate that the water is safe for normal use, including drinking, cooking, and bathing. Residents may resume normal water usage without the need to boil water.

The City of Morris appreciates your patience and cooperation while crews worked to resolve the issue and ensure the safety of our community’s water supply.

Today marks 25 years since the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. A day that forever changed our nation.

The City of Morris asks our community to take a moment today to pause, reflect, and remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the heroic first responders who ran toward danger, and the countless families whose lives were forever changed.

We also remember the incredible courage, compassion, and unity Americans showed in the days and months that followed.

Twenty-five years later, we honor their memory and ensure that the generations who follow understand the significance of that day.

CITY OF MORRIS – BOIL ORDER NOTICE
Date: September 10, 2026

Effective Immediately: The City of Morris Water Department has issued a Boil Order Notice for following addresses on Brentwood Drive:
​500, 501, 502, 503, 505, 600, 601, 603, 604, 605, and 702

This precautionary boil order is being issued due to a water main break on Brentwood Drive. During this time, the safety of the water supply cannot be guaranteed.

Until further notice, all water used for drinking or food preparation should be brought to a rolling boil for at least five (5) minutes before use until further notice. This includes water used for:
• Drinking
• Making ice
• Brushing teeth
• Washing fruits or vegetables
• Food preparation

Water used for bathing or washing dishes is acceptable; however, caution should be used to avoid ingestion.
We hope to have the order lifted in the next 24 – 48 hours.

Residents may notice some extra activity around the pond in Fields of Saratoga today as the Morris Fire Protection and Ambulance District conducts a water rescue training exercise. There is no emergency, so please don't be alarmed if you see firefighters, rescue equipment, or emergency vehicles in and around the park. We are thankful for the Morris Fire Department and their continued commitment to training, preparedness, and keeping our community safe!
