Elon and I recently got recertified as a therapy dog team with Creature Comfort Pet Therapy and have two visits this week - to a drug treatment center (our first visit there) and a college (3rd visit). If anyone in Morris Plains wants to do this, we have a great program through the Municipal Alliance to help you get started - teens can do with their parents also. Borough School is another of our favorite visit locations. Msg me if interested! Outside of Morris Plains, you can find out all info on CCPT website.

Join the Morris Educational Foundation for an engaging parent education workshop on Youth Mental Health First Aid on Tuesday, November 7, 7pm at Morristown High School. Register at bit.ly/MEFParentEd 🫶.

Parents and community members will learn how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among children and adolescents ages 12-18.

This workshop is part of a larger initiative to invest in mental health support for the Morris School District community, which includes training for all Morristown High School staff.

We thank our community partners for this unique collaboration: Mental Health Association in New Jersey, Community Foundation of New Jersey-Mental Health Foundation Collaboration, and the Lauren & Emily Failla Foundation 👏.
