The Workforce Development Board of Northwest New Jersey would like to extend our gratitude to our incredible partners , , and for helping us promote and support this morning’s Layoff Aversion Event at Alan Ritchey in Phillipsburg.

Thanks to this collaboration, affected employees had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with employer partners and our local community college to explore new job pathways and training opportunities. We are truly excited to help these talented individuals transition into rewarding new careers.

We also want to give a special thank you to Senator Steinhardt’s team for joining us, sharing resources, and highlighting the many ways their office supports the constituents of Warren County.

Together, we are making a meaningful difference for our workforce and our community, and we are grateful for everyone who helped make today a success!

What a day for the future of our workforce! 🔧✨

The Workforce Development Board of Northwest New Jersey proudly hosted a Skilled Trades & Apprenticeship Fair at Mt. Olive High School, bringing together 450 students from across the region and 21 incredible employers and training partners.

From hands-on exploration to real conversations with industry pros, students got a firsthand look at the many pathways available in the skilled trades. It showed that there are exciting, in-demand careers beyond the traditional route.

A huge thank you to all of our partners who showed up to inspire, connect, and open doors for the next generation. This is what building a stronger workforce looks like!

had a great time attending the NJMEP Future Makers & Creator Day at Newton High School!

It was inspiring to see so many students exploring manufacturing, innovation, and hands-on problem solving. Events like this help spark curiosity and show the next generation the exciting career paths available in advanced manufacturing.
