The Ridgedale FFA Officer Team recently toured The Chef's Garden and Chef's Table experience in Huron, Ohio. During the visit, officers learned about the organization's commitment to regenerative agriculture, which focuses on rebuilding and nourishing the soil through sustainable farming practices. The Chef's Garden strives to produce highly nutritious, flavorful vegetables by prioritizing soil health, biodiversity, and environmental stewardship.

Officers also gained insight into the company's emphasis on innovation, education, and quality. Through culinary experiences and direct connections between farmers, chefs, and consumers, The Chef's Garden demonstrates how agriculture can create meaningful experiences while supporting healthy food systems.

The team's visit highlighted the importance of sustainable agriculture and showcased how farmers can positively impact both the environment and the communities they serve. The Chef's Garden's mission can be summarized as growing exceptional vegetables through regenerative farming practices that restore the land, provide high-quality ingredients, and educate people about the connection between healthy soil, nutritious food, and sustainable agriculture.

The Ridgedale FFA Officer Retreat was successfully held at Lake Erie, combining team building and bonding exercises with educational tours at Back to the Wild and a special Chefs Table experience with Ellen Keck Jones and Co-Owner Bob Jones, providing an excellent start to the summer break for a group of talented young leaders who are setting goals and shaping their future.
