We provide fire prevention, protection and emergency medical services (first response) within our coverage area and mutual aid to surrounding departments as requested. We operate from one station, located in Morocco with two fire engines, two tanker (water) trucks, two brush trucks, a rescue truck, and a first response truck. On average, we respond to approximately two hundred calls for service an
nually. Members train regularly and must have sixteen hours of training every year to maintain their membership. All fire fighters are members of the Indiana Volunteer Fire Fighter's Assocation and trained to a minimum of Indiana Department of Homeland Security Basic/Mandatory Fire Fighter Level. Many fire fighters are also Fire Fighter I/II, HAZ-MAT Awareness / Operations Certified and many maintain additional specialized certifications and trainings. Members are at minimum CPR/AED/First Aid Certified. Medical personnel are at minimum of First Responder Certified and vary from EMT-Basic to EMT-Paramedic Certified. Aside from providing emergency services, the fire department also rents tables and chairs (donations accepted) and fills swimming pools (after owners receive the proper paperwork from the town hall).
