Our thoughts and prayers with the York,PA Fire Department and the FDNY as they mourn the loss of members from their department. York, PA firefighters Ivan Flanscha and Zachary Anthony were trapped when the building collapsed on them, they were pronounced at the hospital. FDNY firefighter Micheal Davidson lost his life battling a blaze in Harlem. Rest Easy Brothers, We’ll take it from here.

On Saturday, February 17 the firefighters of Morganville Independent Fire Company kindly ask the residents of District 3 to come out and support our brothers: Ex-Captain Ian Thompson, Ex-Chief Richard Riopel and Firefighter John Turi for reelection to the Marlboro Board of Fire Commissioners of District 3 and to vote YES for the Proposed Budget of 2018.

Firefighters Ian, Richard and John have a long history of fire service to this town. They have given their all to protect and serve the town we live in, while also keeping the tax rate to a minimum. The Proposed Budget of 2018 has not increased from 2017 and WILL NOT increase the tax rate. The tax rate of District 3 has not increased due to the Board of Fire Commissioners in 6 years. If anyone would like to see any information regarding the budget for themselves it is available to the public. You can also research more about the candidates and the budget by visiting their website http://www.ttr4morganville.com/ It is essential for the Proposed Budget to be passed in order for the continuation of exceptional fire service for our district.

The firefighters of Morganville Independent ask the residents of District 3 to fight for the ones who fight for you. To fight for the ones who have put their lives on the line countless times to keep this town safe, and would be honored to continue to do so. A vote for Thompson, Riopel and Turi is a vote for Morganville.

The vote will be at Morganville Volunteer Fire House on 78 Tennent Road. Polls will be open from 2:00-9:00pm as mandated by state law. We hope to see you there.

We would like to congratulate the Monmouth County Fire Academy recruit class 117 on your graduation last night. And we would like to congratulate our own, Nicholas Clarizio on graduating and receiving his black helmet from Chief Smith.

Yesterday morning at 0610am, we were dispatched to a reported basement fire in our first due. Upon the arrival of Marlboro Township Police Department, they confirmed the basement fire and all residents were accounted for. Engine 377 arrived first and attempted to stretch a hose line through the front door but was met with heavy smoke. Engine 375 stretched a hose line to the back of the residence, and made entry through the rear slider for basement access. The fire was knocked down and extensive overhaul was done. Thank you to our mutal aid companies for helping us out, Marlboro Fire Department District #1 Robertsville Volunteer Fire Co. #1 Gordons Corner Fire Co and Morganville First Aid and Rescue Squad - MFARS for rehab.

Today, one of our family members departs on a journey halfway across the world. Firefighter/EMT and now Airman First Class Frank DeBlasi JR departs for his deployment to Ramstein Air Force base in Germany for a 2 year tour. Frank, we wish you the best of luck and thank you for your service to our country. Stay safe brother

Good Evening! The Santa run for today has been cancelled due to an unexpected illness to Santa. He is expected to make a full recovery in the next day or so. We will be escorting Santa this week, starting around 6pm. Everything will be posted when it is finalized.
