📚 Happy National Read a Book Day! 📖

Today, September 6, is National Read a Book Day, a celebration encouraging us to slow down, pick up a book and enjoy the simple pleasure of reading. ✨

And for Disney fans, who better to celebrate with than Belle? 💛📚

From the moment we meet her in Beauty and the Beast, Belle’s love of books is one of the things that makes her so memorable. While everyone else in her village thinks she is a little different, Belle is happiest getting lost in a story, dreaming of adventure and discovering worlds far beyond her own. And, of course, one of the Beast’s most unforgettable gifts to her is that incredible castle library. 🏰

Books have also inspired so many Disney stories we know and love. Winnie-the-Pooh came from the stories of A.A. Milne, Peter Pan from J.M. Barrie, Alice in Wonderland from Lewis Carroll, Mary Poppins from P.L. Travers, and Pinocchio from Carlo Collodi.

So whether you are revisiting a childhood favorite, discovering a new story, or reading with someone you love, today is the perfect excuse to open a book and let your imagination take you somewhere new. 📖✨

Congratulations to the 134 students who met 3 of their 4 AR goals and enjoyed reading ALL year long. This bunch had a great time today watching Zootopia 2 at The Capitol, playing at the park, and eating sno cones. Memories made!
