On Saturday 02/20/2021, Monongalia Sheriffs Deputies were notified of a missing juvenile. Ashley Rae Fortney 16, of the Morgantown area left her parents residence without their consent. She left information indicating that she had ran away. Sheriffs Detectives are following leads and speaking with persons who had recent contact and / or information.

Ashley Rae Fortney is described as a white female, with blonde hair, blue eyes, 5'2”in height, and 220 pounds. Last seen wearing a black shirt with ( Nirvana logo ) , brown sweater, black pants and white shoes.

COVID-19 vaccine updates:
• To get on a list for a COVID-19 vaccine appointment, please call 304-598-5100 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and talk to an employee. Please do not call any other number; please do not leave a message.
• Please understand that under the current appointment system, you must answer your phone, even if it's from a number not recognized.
• Also, residents who want to get a second dose of vaccine at Monongalia County Health Department should get their first dose here as well. Individuals who are traveling and get the first dose elsewhere may not be able to get a second dose at MCHD.
• Individuals who go to a pharmacy to get a COVID-19 vaccine should ask if a second dose at that same location is assured.
• Finally, when it is your turn to get a vaccine, please consider wearing a short-sleeved top, because the vaccine is administered high up on the arm.

Ok everyone. Here’s the news.

TEEN COURT IS PERMANENTLY CLOSED AND I AM FIRED.

The board met tonight and voted to close down our teen court and fire me.

I want to thank everyone involved in the program throughout my 18 1/2 years. All the games of “Mullins Says” and all of the “stolen” cell phones. You guys made teen court fun. Special thanks to Timothy Schiffbauer for all of his years of dedication to teen court. For the rest of you, I just wanted to let you know that I meant what I always said. Teen court is family. We will continue to be family even without teen court. If you ever need me, just let me know.
