Learners of the Month | Students of the Month

At North Butler Elementary, our Portrait of a Learner helps define the qualities we want our students to develop. Development not only as learners, but as members of our school and community.

Each month, we recognize students who demonstrate our Portrait of a Learner competencies as our Learners of the Month! This month’s focus is CHARACTER!

❤️ Character — Making good choices, showing kindness, and doing what is right.
🌎 Global Citizenship — Respecting others and making a positive difference in our school and community.
💡 Problem Solving — Thinking creatively, working through challenges, and finding solutions.
🤝 Collaboration — Working well with others, listening, sharing ideas, and being a great teammate.

Our Students of the Month are students who demonstrate these competencies through their actions each day.

We are feeling extra thankful for the local churches in our community who continue to support our students and staff at North Butler Elementary.

Whether it’s through prayers, encouragement, donations or volunteering, your kindness does not go unnoticed.

It truly takes a village to support our Cubs, and we are blessed to have churches and community members who believe in our school and invest in the people inside it!

First Days of School - Safety

Students and staff completed our school safety drills this week. While we hope we never have to use these procedures in a real emergency, practicing and being prepared is one of the best ways we can keep everyone safe.

Safety isn’t something we practice just once, it’s something we work on all year long. Regular drills help our Cubs know what to do, where to go, and how to listen and respond calmly in different situations.

We are proud of our students and staff for taking our drills seriously and doing their part to help keep NBES a safe place to learn, grow, and DREAM BIG!

It sure takes a lot of hard work and heart to make our school look as good as these two have it looking! These guys are the fixers, painters, waxers and everything in between!

We appreciate all Mr. William and Mr. Larry do for our school and our students. They are absolutely the best! 👏

🐻 We are excited to meet our new Cubs! 🐻

🔴 Doors will open at 8:30 and pick up is at 11:00.

🔴 We encourage you to bring school supplies, with students first and last name labeled (if you already have them at this time).

🔴 Parents/Guardians: Please note this is your opportunity to walk your student to their classroom, as we do not allow you to walk your student in on the first day of school.

🔴 We will host a Parent Meeting at 9:15 with school staff. During this time we will provide information about our school and be available for any questions you have.
