Raccoons are illegal to possess in the state of Kentucky. If you are visiting Kentucky, you can not bring your raccoon with you even if it is legally obtained in a state that allows them.

Gray fox are also sometimes known as the “tree fox” or ”cat fox”. These fox are common, but very elusive and rare to spot in the wild. Gray fox are the only canine that can truly climb trees.

It’s easy for me to post cute healthy baby pictures but I’m reality this is wildlife rehab. This baby (and his brother, who passed away) were found and brought home to be raised as bottle babies. When the finders realized they were over their head these babies were already suffering from aspiration pneumonia. This happens when they get milk into their lungs. If you find an orphaned baby PLEASE don’t try to feed it. Call a rehabber, a game warden, a humane society they will get you in touch with someone experienced in rehabbing.
This little one, my vet and I are fighting for his life.

This sweet girl was found in the road yesterday. The lady that found her reached out to authorities and she was told to leave it and let nature takes it course. She refused and now this little girl has a chance at life. She has a few injuries but she’s a fighter.
