Happy Sunday everyone! I am truly grateful for all the love and support that everyone has given these precious babies this week. This is just the first of all the packages that are coming and I can’t thank everyone enough!

Because of all of you I am staying open for intake and honestly I didn’t close at all. The evening I made the post I got 3 squirrels in and have gotten several since with more on the way. I’m up to 24 baby squirrels now!

🚨 PLEASE HELP — THIS ISN’T A POST I EVER WANTED TO HAVE TO MAKE. 🚨

Happy , everyone. ❤️

I’m going to be completely honest with you… I’m running out of the supplies I need to care for the wildlife currently depending on me. Donations have been extremely slow, and I am completely out of some of my most-used items.

Because of that, I have had to make the heartbreaking decision to CLOSE INTAKE for all wildlife until further notice. 💔

That means when the next injured, orphaned, cold, hungry, or helpless wild animal needs somewhere to go, I may not be able to say yes.

And that is one of the hardest things a wildlife rehabber can ever have to face.

🆘 I desperately need these items immediately:

🍼 1 mL syringes
🧻 Paper towels
🧼 Baby wipes
🔥 Heating pads
🥬 Fresh fruits & vegetables

These aren’t luxury items. They are everyday necessities that keep the animals in my care alive, warm, fed, clean, and comfortable.

Wildlife rehabilitation is NOT state funded. We don’t receive a paycheck from the state to do this work. Rehabbers often spend thousands of dollars out of our own pockets, and we rely heavily on the generosity of people who believe these animals deserve a second chance.

I know times are hard for so many people, and I completely understand that not everyone can give. But if you can help—even by purchasing just ONE item from the wishlist—it can make a bigger difference than you realize.

A $5 item might not seem like much… but when hundreds of people each do a little, together we can do something incredible. ❤️

🦌❤️ Happy Friday, everyone! ❤️🦌

It’s $5 Friday, and I’m asking for your help today with something as simple — but as important — as food.

Right now, I need help purchasing formula and fresh produce for the wildlife currently in my care. Every single day, these animals depend on us for the food, care, and supplies they need to survive and eventually make their way back home to the wild. 🐿️🦌🌿

We have officially reached 13,000 followers, and I am beyond grateful. ❤️ Thank you to every person who has followed our journey, shared our posts, cheered us on, and cared about the animals we work so hard to save.

But I also want to be honest about something.

13,000 followers does not mean 13,000 people are donating. In fact, our donations have gone down tremendously since our fawn videos went viral.

Going viral brought us thousands of new followers, and while we are so thankful for every one of you, followers alone don’t pay the vet bills, buy formula, fill food bowls, or provide the supplies these animals need.

That’s where YOU come in. ❤️

Wildlife rehabbers are NOT state funded. We purchase the majority of what these animals need out of our own pockets and rely heavily on the generosity of people who believe in this work.

🦌❤️ Look at the difference 10 days can make! ❤️🦌

I wanted to share these before-and-after photos of this sweet fawn, who had been kept inside as a pet for an entire month and was not receiving the proper nutrition he needed.

The difference in just 10 days is incredible! His recovery is a very slow process, but as you can see, he is improving more and more each day. ❤️

This is why it is so important for wildlife to receive the proper care, nutrition, and treatment they need—and why licensed wildlife rehabilitators are trained to provide that care.

We understand how cute and tempting fawns can be. 🥰 But they are wild animals, and their nutritional needs are very specific. What may seem like harmless care can actually lead to serious nutritional deficiencies and health problems.

This little guy is going through lots and lots of fawn formula, fresh fruits and vegetables, and the proper grains to help him regain his strength and get back to being the healthy fawn he should be.

And we need your help! ❤️

I shared this last year from Secret Squirrel Wildlife Rehab & I feel it needs to be shared again:

This helps to put in perspective why so many individuals have to wait to hear back from licensed wildlife rehabilitators & facilities. Why we can not always come out to pick up every animal we are called about.

Please remember, rescues & rehabilitators are not paid & we are not funded at all. It could be 1 person taking in calls, medicating, cleaning, & feeding wildlife plus their regular paying job, their family, their pets...plus all the things in between like getting supplies, going to the vet, repairs on enclosures, & the list could go on.

From about March to September many rehabilitators may average 3 or 4 hours of sleep a night if lucky. We are yelled at by a handful of individuals that truly have no idea what we do. We see more death & suffering than any of us cares to share & more than many could deal with.

Yes there are some bad rehabilitators but most are truly wonderful & very caring individuals that put themselves dead last to care for wildlife & to help the people calling.
