☀️ Summer Meals To-Go Update! ☀️

Tomorrow is Thursday, and that means it’s almost time for another round of meal pickups! Last week, our awesome food service team served 13,845 meals to 989 children! Wow!!!

We’re excited to do it all over again, with a few quick adjustments to help ease traffic congestion. This week, we’ll expand our pickup times to 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, providing an extra hour at both SES & UES.

Here’s what else you need to know for tomorrow:

📍 Sturgis Elementary (SES) - We're dividing pickups into two separate lines to keep things moving:

If picking up for 1–2 children: Enter the school lot through 10th Street.

If picking up for 3+ children: Enter through 12th Street (like last week).

Note: Both lanes will exit on Johnson Street. Staff and cones will be on-site to direct you! (See map below)

📍 Uniontown Elementary (UES) - Same pickup procedures as last week, just with the extra hour (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM)!

⚠️ Important Reminders:

Registration: To-go meals are only for families who pre-registered for these specific sites. Registration is now closed.

Leftovers: If you didn't sign up, you can come to either site slightly before 12:00 PM to see if there are leftover meals available.

Thank you all for your understanding and patience, and a huge thanks to our incredible Food Service team for making this possible! See you Thursday! 🥪🍎

Behind the Scenes at UCPS

While our students and staff enjoy a well-deserved summer break, an incredible team is hard at work preparing our schools for another great year. Our custodians—better known as our Customer Service Representatives (CSRs)—are going above and beyond to ensure every hallway, classroom, cafeteria, and gymnasium is clean, safe, and ready to welcome students back.

From stripping and waxing floors to deep cleaning classrooms, moving furniture, and tackling countless projects behind the scenes, their dedication and attention to detail help create an environment where learning can thrive.

These photos are just a glimpse of the hard work, pride, and commitment our CSRs bring to Union County Public Schools every day. Their efforts often go unseen, but their impact is felt throughout every building across our district.

Thank you to our UCPS CSRs for your commitment to excellence and for helping make our schools shine. We appreciate all that you do for our students, staff, and community.

Brave Nation is stronger because of you! ❤️💙

A familiar face is returning to lead the MES Wildcats! Please help us welcome Mrs. Kelli Willett as principal at Morganfield Elementary School!

Here is a message from Mrs. Willett:

I am absolutely thrilled and deeply honored to be stepping into the role of Principal at Morganfield Elementary School.

For 24 years, education has been my passion, and 14 of those wonderful years have been spent right here with this incredible Wildcat family. This school isn’t just where I work—it is truly my home. It’s the place where my own children were educated, and where I have watched so many of your children grow, learn, and thrive.

I am so excited to continue serving this amazing community in this new capacity. Together with our phenomenal staff, I know we will continue to make MES a place where every student feels valued, challenged, and loved.

Thank you for your continued trust and support. Let’s make this next chapter the best one yet!

The UES Warriors have a new leader! Please help us welcome Mrs. Tina Robinson as the new principal at Uniontown Elementary School!

Here is a message from Mrs. Robinson:

I am incredibly honored and excited to announce that I will be joining the Uniontown Elementary family as the next principal.
I bring with me 18 years of experience in elementary education and a deep passion for teaching, learning, and supporting students. I am a National Board Certified Teacher and have spent the past 12 years as a fifth grade teacher at Sturgis Elementary. Prior to that, I began my teaching career in Hopkins County, where I taught for 6 years at Earlington Elementary.

Outside of school, I am blessed with an incredible family. My husband, Elvis Robinson, and I are proud parents to our three children: Lucas, Maya, and Xavier. Family and community are at the heart of everything I do, and I look forward to building strong relationships within the Uniontown community.

I am excited for this new journey and cannot wait to meet the students, staff, and families that make Uniontown such a special place. I look forward to working together to create a positive, supportive, and successful environment where every child can learn, grow, and thrive.

Here’s to an amazing new chapter!
