This Tuesday starts this year's free summer kids' films at the Cliftex Theatre!!!!!!! What a great way to start out with the movie Surfs Up. Big Thank You to Major Real Estate for sponsoring these movies for our community.

For this film, Areli's Ohana will be giving away SurfBoard scratchboard ornaments to each kid (while supplies last).

Steele Creek Acres VFD and several other departments participated in Search and Rescue Training hosted by Whitney Fire/Rescue today. We acquired significant knowledge about grid searching and executed multiple scenarios. The training with the Hill County CERT and Hill County Emergency management team was excellent. We had the opportunity to network with numerous dedicated professionals. Thank you for your hospitality and to everyone that participated.

ROADWAY IS NOW BACK OPEN… THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE!!!!

A train has broken down on HWY 22 at the Meridian Crossing (on the east side of the city). This intersection is expected to be blocked most of the day as repairs are done. Please expect delays and seek an alternate route.

Santa Fe (the gravel road) runs parallel to the track, and is open, as an option to get to around it by utilizing FM 2840.
