We are excited to announce that Central HS is our Week #2 winner of the Attendance Month Challenge!

We had another huge tie this week because our school sites are absolutely crushing the challenges! With everyone making such a splash, it came down to our tie-breaker categories: best overall attendance, most improved attendance from Week #1, and additional Saturday FLEX points.

Here’s how our schools finished:

πŸ„ Central HS had the most improved attendance percentage from Week #1.

🌊 Live Oak HS had the most students attend Saturday FLEX.

🐚 Los Paseos had the highest overall attendance percentage for the week.

But when all the points were added up, Central HS rode the wave to victory and came out on top as our Week #2 winner!

Congratulations, Central HS!

Also a huge shout-out to all of our school sites for continuing to make waves with attendance. Keep swimming strong, keep those students in school, and let’s see who can catch the next wave to victory!

Stay tuned for next week’s winner because this competition is getting GNARLY! πŸ€™

Central HS came crashing in like a tsunami, making a HUGE splash and shaking up the competition! The other school sites better brace themselves, the waves are getting bigger, and the race is getting tighter!

Thank you all for your continued efforts to make attendance a priority and for keeping the momentum rolling.

Check out our official overall scores for the month as we enter week #3!

Join us as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 through October 15. Morgan Hill Unified recognizes the incredible history, cultures, and contributions of our Hispanic and Latino communities. 🌎

It is a time to honor the traditions and achievements that have been passed down through generations, while recognizing the many ways Hispanic and Latino voices enrich the experiences of our students and families today.

Throughout this time, we invite our community to learn more and celebrate the rich diversity that makes our community stronger. πŸ’™

Being at school every day gives students more time to learn and ask questions. When teachers see students regularly, they can better understand what each student needs and where to provide additional support. πŸ“š

Strong relationships with your teachers can make a powerful difference in your academic journey at Morgan Hill Unified. Students thrive most when they have someone who listens to them, knows them, encourages them, and helps them every step of the way. 🏫

Today, Morgan Hill Unified joins our community and nation in honoring and remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the courage and sacrifice of the first responders who answered the call.

This morning, Jackson Academy of Math & Music continued its annual 9/11 flag-raising ceremony, bringing students, staff and local first responders together for a meaningful moment of remembrance.

Thank you to our first responders and everyone who participated this morning and helped make this special tradition possible. Together, we remember and ensure we never forget.

Morgan Hill Community:

The district maintains its full commitment to providing strong athletic programs and opportunities for our student athletes.

To clarify the incorrect social media post, we are not canceling sports, nor have we ever considered such a decision. All coaching contracts have been routed and at no time was the pay of our coaches or our athletic programs ever threatened. We wish our coaches and our student athletes continued success this season.

Thank you.

On International Literacy Day, we celebrate the power of reading, writing, communicating, and learning. These skills help students understand the world around them and imagine what's possible for their future. πŸ“–

Literacy gives students the tools to express their ideas, find their voice, and explore new perspectives. Today, we're recognizing every lifelong learner in our community. πŸ’™
