While on scene of the single vehicle accident, we were dispatched for a dog trapped in a culvert. With the help of a neighbor and his mini excavator we were able to get the dog free. Max came out un-injured but scared. We want to send a big thanks to the neighbor for his help.

BLVFD is currently on scene of a single vehicle accident on Hwy 90 WB before the Beouf off ramp. No injuries to the driver. The right lane is closed.

At 8:17pm on Tuesday night BLVFD was dispatched to an 18-wheeler on fire on the westbound lane of hwy 90. While enroute dispatch updated the call to a tanker trailer on fire in Terrebonne parish but continue for mutual aid. Upon arriving west Terrebonne deployed 2 lines and Blvfd deployed one and quickly brought the fire under control and started cooling the trailer. Blvfd responded with 2 pumpers, a support truck, a medical unit, and 6 members. West Terrebonne had 2 pumpers and 5 members on scene. No injuries to firefighters or civilians on this call.

At 05:28 this morning BLVFD was toned out for a structure fire on Jamie Ct. Units arrived shortly after and reported heavy smoke coming from the rear of the residence. 2 attack lines was put in service and the fire was brought under control. The fire was declared fully extinguished around 06;30 AM. Units returned to the station around 08:00 AM. Units on scene was 2 Engines, 1 support truck, and 7 Firemen. Amelia volunteer fire department provided mutual aid and they brought 1 Engine, 1 Support truck and 5 Firefighters.
We would like to thank AVFD, Acadian Ambulance, and the Assumption parish Sheriff's Office for their assistance.

Tuesday's training was aFETA-Louisiana Fire and Emergency Training Academy driving course at Amelia Volunteer Fire Department. This course sharpened our skills for driving a fire engine. Big thanks to chief Jason for hosting it and Andrew E Metrejean Jr. For teaching it.
