MISSING BILLS:

🔹We still aren't sure what happened this month with the bills that we mailed out on 5/27/26! We spoke with Patterson Post Office and asked them for any information and all they could tell us, is they sent them out the day after we dropped them off. We dropped off 1860 bills at one time, and we haven't had one customer receive one.
🔸We understand this is frustrating for customers, as it is for us here in the office.
♦️We are NOT responsible for U.S. Mail Delivery, checks in transit and/or checks lost in transit. Failure to receive bill does not excuse payment.

❌Bills are always Due by the 20th of the month
❎We are not reprinting bills and remailing them.
⏱️There are multiple options for paying your bill, and receiving your balance.
-We can take a payment over the phone, or in our office 985-395-2747
-We have a pay by phone number - 1-888-409-3127

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Bayou Vista Volunteer Fire Department Responds to Multi-Structure Fire on Teche Road
Bayou Vista, Louisiana – June 5, 2026
On June 5, 2026, at approximately 1:55 p.m., the Bayou Vista Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to Teche Road following reports of a structure fire.
At 2:00 p.m., the first arriving engine company reported a residence fully involved in fire, with flames beginning to spread to neighboring homes on both sides of the structure. Due to the extent of the fire and the exposure threat to surrounding residences, firefighters immediately initiated a defensive fire attack on all three homes to bring the fire under control until conditions allowed for an offensive attack.
The Bayou Vista Volunteer Fire Department responded with:
• 2 Engine Companies
• 1 Ladder Truck
• 1 Service Truck
• 15 Firefighters
• 4 Support Personnel
• 3 Junior Firefighters
Mutual aid assistance was provided by the Morgan City Fire Department, Berwick Fire Department, and Patterson Volunteer Fire Department, contributing an additional 22 firefighters to the incident bringing the total fire personnel on scene to 44
One civilian injury was reported as a result of the fire. No firefighter injuries were reported during the incident.
Chief Gerald Price expressed his appreciation to all agencies and individuals who assisted during the emergency response.
"I would like to thank the Morgan City, Berwick, and Patterson Fire Departments for their assistance, as well as St. Mary Parish 9-1-1, St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office, Acadian Ambulance, and Cleco for their support during this incident. I would also like to extend a special thank you to the residents in the area who provided drinks and refreshments for our personnel while they worked in challenging conditions."
This incident serves as an important reminder of how quickly fire can spread through a structure, often leaving occupants with little or no time to escape. The Bayou Vista Volunteer Fire Department strongly encourages all residents to ensure their homes are equipped with working smoke alarms and to develop and practice a home escape plan. Residents are also reminded that once they have safely exited a burning structure, they should never re-enter the home for any reason.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Louisiana State Fire Marshal's Office.
