Stringers were flush before Simpson straps. Now they are all proud and floating on the straps against the heads. Do I have to redo the whole thing? Should I switch to nails?

If I abandon the straps, that hangers to use?

Home Depot door installation. Very disappointing. Today my mother had new doors installed she bought from home depot. She texted me this picture and of course I immediately called her. VERY concerned, shes older and she texted me and said she cant talk, he is pi**ed. I jumped in the car, arrived when he was still there. I let the guy have it and he looked like an absolute whack job. Now my mom's scared of this man. She lives alone. He said he has been installing doors for 30 years! He was the one who came and measured for them. Unreal. Help me process.

Safe Way To Install Crown Molding?
I ran out of wood, but I figured I'll just stay on the ladder...the ceiling is 10 ft and I thought this would be safer than extending the ladder from down on the stairs. I especially don't want to hurt the drywall and this seemed like a way to avoid it.

I'm really afraid of heights, and this looks kinda like a floor so it won't feel as high, but I'm not sure how to know if it's safe.

I'm about 170 pounds and the ladder is...I dunno....another 20?

Acceptable work from contractor?
These are birch baseboards. I heard the installers agonizing over how the walls aren’t straight, and so I don’t want them to feel attacked at all if it was literally impossible for them to do this job correctly.

Room is about 225 square feet and it took three people 2.5 hours to install.

I haven’t given them the final payment yet. So I am hoping the finish work can be improved but I wanted advice before then.
