Volunteer Meal Delivery Drivers Needed!

The Lenawee Department on Aging is seeking caring volunteers to deliver meals to homebound seniors in our community. We need drivers for the following senior centers:

📍 Hudson, MI Senior Center

🚗 As a volunteer driver, you’ll bring nutritious meals directly to older adults, making a real difference by supporting their health, independence, and well-being.

Need help finding local resources?

Project Connect is coming up on Wednesday, October 28, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Merchant Building at the Lenawee County Fair & Event Grounds.

Hosted by the Lenawee Continuum of Care, the event connects individuals, families, and veterans with more than 40 community agencies offering information and assistance with housing, utilities, healthcare, transportation, and more.

Free lunch, haircuts, food boxes and vaccines will also be available.

Free transportation to and from the event is available by calling 517-265-4444 and telling them you’re going to Project Connect.

💊 Fall Drug Take-Back Day is coming up!

Safely dispose of unused, unwanted or expired medications at this convenient drive-thru event.

📅 Date: Saturday, October 24, 2026
⏰ Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
📍 Location: ProMedica Hickman Hospital, 5640 Adrian Hwy., Adrian

Medications, sharps and liquid prescriptions will be accepted. Sharps must be placed in a proper sharps container or a sturdy plastic bottle with a secure lid for safety.

Today, we’re celebrating Lois as she begins a new chapter and moves to an assisted living apartment near her daughter in Frankenmuth. ❤️

We’ll miss having Lois at the Morenci Senior Center, but we’re happy she’ll be closer to her daughter and family. We enjoyed a special going-away party filled with smiles, laughter and wonderful memories.

Thank you, Lois, for being such a special part of our senior center family. We’re wishing you lots of happiness in your new home and all the best in this next chapter! 💕

📢 TRIAD Event Update

Unfortunately, due to staffing limitations, the Lenawee Department on Aging and the TRIAD committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the TRIAD event scheduled for Thursday, September 17.

We know many community members were looking forward to this event, and we are disappointed that we are unable to offer it as planned.

We hope to reschedule this opportunity for a future date and will share additional information as soon as it becomes available.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding.
