As we approach America's semiquincentennial (fancy top hat and monocle speech for 250th) birthday, I'm sure many of us find ourselves reflecting on our histories.

Here is a look back at summer sessions at MSU exactly 100 years ago, in 1926! We found this treasure perusing MSU's digital archives earlier this week, from The Eastern Kentucky Educator newspaper.

As librarians, we are pretty keen on the English and Reading courses, but what about all of you? If you had to pick one track off this list, what would you choose?

The City of Morehead Parks & Recreation Department is excited to announce registration for youth fall sports leagues, including soccer, football, and cheerleading, will be open June 3 through July 3, 2026.

These programs provide local youth with opportunities to stay active, build teamwork skills, and engage with their community in a fun and supportive environment. Leagues are available for multiple age groups, with a focus on skill development, sportsmanship, and participation.

Registration is available online only and must be completed by July 3. Early registration is encouraged to ensure placement and assist with team organization.

Sports Offered: Soccer, Football, Cheer
Registration Dates: June 3 – July 3, 2026
Registration Method: Online Only | May complete registration at the Parks & Recreation Office. Computers will be available.
