Did you know the Division maintains 43 ocean artificial reefs and 29 estuarine reefs, creating prime spots for fishing and SCUBA diving? These reefs are enhanced using materials like retired vessels, recycled concrete pipe, crushed concrete, and even demolished bridges.

The result? Thriving underwater habitats that support spawning, feeding, and shelter for many of the state’s important marine species.
