Due to The Village of Moreauville not wanting to interfere with the Louisiana Corn Festival on June 13th, we’ve decided to postpone our Farmers Market and Children’s arts and craft festival to JULY 11th 2026.
We hope this is more convenient for everyone involved. Can’t wait to see everyone that weekend.

Wastewater Treatment Plant Rehabilitation Update

We are pleased to announce that construction mobilization for Phase 1 of the Village of Moreauville’s Wastewater Treatment Plant Rehabilitation Project is scheduled to begin August 24, 2026. The anticipated completion date is December 25, 2026.

During this time, residents will notice an increase in construction traffic, including large trucks traveling through Moreauville and on Porter Lane as equipment and materials are being delivered to the project site. We appreciate your patience and understanding while this important work is underway.

For many many years, our wastewater treatment plant has been in extremely poor condition. Despite these challenges, Norris Lemoine and his dedicated crew have worked hard to keep the system operating as efficiently as possible. We sincerely thank them for their commitment and hard work.

Most importantly, we thank GOD for blessing our community with the funding necessary to completely rehabilitate our wastewater treatment plant and nine lift stations. This investment will strengthen our infrastructure, improve reliability, and better serve the residents of Moreauville for many years to come.

A very special thank you to Governor Jeff Landry, Commissioner Taylor Barras, Representative Daryl Deshotel, Senator Heather Cloud, Pan American Engineers Thomas David and Jacob Gauthier, Attorney Derrick Johnson for your unwavering support and commitment to the Village of Moreauville. Your partnership and dedication have been instrumental in making this long-awaited project a reality.

On behalf of the Mayor and Town Council, we wholeheartedly appreciate each of you, as well as everyone who played a role in securing this funding and bringing this project to fruition. Together, we are building a stronger, safer, and more prosperous future for the Village of Moreauville

Dear Volunteers, Community Members, Organizations, and Donors

On behalf of the Village of Moreauville, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the members of the Moreauville Fire Department, our dedicated volunteers, neighboring families, community members, organizations, and vendors who stepped forward to assist during our recent flood.

During this difficult time, you are demonstrating the true meaning of compassion, service, and community spirit. Many of you worked tirelessly distributing supplies, assisting flood victims, and providing support to residents throughout our village and surrounding areas. Your willingness to give your time, energy, and resources made a tremendous difference in the lives of those affected.

I would also like to extend a special thank you to the families and individuals who generously donated food and prepared meals for our residents, volunteers, and first responders. Your kindness and generosity provided comfort and encouragement during a challenging period for many families.

To the many local and out-of-town vendors, businesses, churches, civic groups, and organizations who donated supplies, equipment, and resources, please know that your support was greatly appreciated. Your contributions helped ensure that our citizens received the assistance they needed when they needed it most.

A very special thank you goes to Hope Force International and Samaritan’s Purse’s for traveling from out of state to assist our community. Their team is offering invaluable help by removing damaged furniture, clearing debris, and assisting residents with tear-outs and flood recovery efforts. Their dedication and willingness to serve our community will never be forgotten.

Please know that we continue to keep every family here in Moreauville and our surrounding communities affected by this flood in our thoughts and prayers. We understand the challenges many are facing, and we remain committed to helping our residents recover and rebuild.

If you or your family need assistance of any kind, please do not hesitate to contact us. The Moreauville Town Hall staff is here to help in any way possible and will continue working diligently to connect residents with available resources and support services.

To everyone who played a role, whether through volunteering, donating, cooking meals, providing supplies, or offering words of encouragement, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your hard work, generosity, and commitment to helping others will not go unnoticed. Together, we demonstrated the strength, resilience, and unity that make our community so special.

May God bless each of you for your service, generosity, and unwavering support of our community.

With sincere appreciation,
Mayor Beryl Holmes, Councilmen and Staff
